ENTR 375 - Entrepreneurship Business Planning

Entrepreneurial ventures innovate existing products and services, markets, processes, or industries. Their disruptive qualities require particularly fine-grained analysis and skilled and persuasive business plans. This course offers students the tools to analyze the feasibility of an entrepreneurial venture, including industry, market, and competitor analyses. Students use this research and their marketing, management, accounting, and finance studies to develop a fully integrated and comprehensive business plan.

Prerequisite(s): ENTR 101 , MRKT 220 , MGMT 220 , and either ENTR 200  or ACCT 205 , ACCT 206 , and FINC 306 .

Grading Method: Student option.

Learning Outcomes:
  1. Analyze the components of a comprehensive business plan, including financial projections, competitive analysis, and operational strategies, to determine their feasibility and alignment with business goals.
  2. Synthesize market research and competitive analysis data to develop actionable strategies that address challenges and capitalize on opportunities within the small business landscape.
  3. Design innovative solutions to real-world problems encountered in the management of small businesses, incorporating innovation, strategic decision-making and risk assessment methodologies.
