MRKT 220 - Principles of Marketing

An introduction to the vocabulary, theories, and practices of the business functional area of marketing, including segmentation, target marketing, and positioning. It emphasizes developing and implementing marketing strategies and deciding appropriate product distribution, price, and promotion strategies for identified target markets.

Learning Outcomes:
  1. Demonstrate the principle marketing terms, concepts, and theories through the use of marketing plans.
  2. Construct ways in which mobile marketing can effectively be utilized for product promotion.
  3. Identify the functions of the 4Ps (product, price, promotion, and place).
  4. Illustrate the impacts STP (segmenting, targeting, and positioning) has as a strategic marketing component.
