EXSC 432 - Measurement and Evaluation in Kinesiology

This course is intended to provide students with an exploration of the theory of measurement and evaluation of different physical activity assessments. Assessments observed will come from clinical and fitness settings. Emphasis will be placed on evaluating and interpreting results from tests and performances and making necessary and effective decisions when creating an exercise prescription.

Prerequisite(s): EXSC 140  or permission from instructor.

Grading Method: Student option.

Learning Outcomes:
  1. Examine fitness principles using appropriate assessments and methods.
  2. Detect areas for improvement based on assessment results and individual goals.
  3. Compose an appropriate plan to help the individual improve fitness and health.
