EXSC 351 - Motor Learning 3 Credit(s)
Designed to develop the student’s understanding of how bodies grow and develop across the lifespan. Fundamental skills will be observed and broken down to understand how humans progress from novice to advanced movements. Furthermore, special populations will be explored, and implications for these populations will be discussed.
Prerequisite(s): EXSC 140 or permission of the instructor.
Course Frequency: S
Grading Method: Student option.
Learning Outcomes:
- Examine the various constraints that surround the development of motor skills and discuss how they contribute to the resulting motor skill behavior.
- Explain key processes, sequences, factors, and milestones related to the various stages of motor development across the life span.
- Assess the developmental levels of fundamental motor skills.
