AGSC 311 - Plant Nutrition 3 Credit(s)
This course provides focus on the principles of plant mineral nutrition and practical nutritional problems in horticultural crops. Areas covered include mineral nutrients, nutrient availability in the soil and plant uptake, nutrient deficiencies and toxicities and their causes and remedies, as well as plant and soil analysis
Prerequisite(s): AGSC 201 and AGSC 205 .

- Describe key soil-plant interactions that influence nutrient cycling and plant uptake.
- Examine the function of 17 essential plant nutrients in plant life cycles.
- Create nutrient management recommendations that account for proper plant growth, maintains environmental sustainability, and are cost-effective for the system.
