SCWK 311 - Social Justice Experience

This course provides experiential learning for students interested in addressing social justice issues. Students explore social justice issues relevant to a particular population or location that experiences oppression. Students participate in service learning to develop understanding of the issues first-hand and, if possible, attempt to redress these issues. Students document their learning and integrate the experiential knowledge with the theoretical knowledge acquired prior to the service learning.

Prerequisite(s): Permission of the instructor.

May be repeated for up to three additional hours with a different experience.
