PSPA 495 - Public Administration Internship Variable Credit(s)
In consultation with a political science department advisor, students engage in a closely supervised, experiential learning opportunity in a public, not-for-profit, or private sector organization. Particular emphasis is placed on application of communication, problem solving, and analytical skills gathered in the public administration curriculum.
Prerequisite(s): Public Administration major, junior status, and consent of instructor.
Not repeatable for credit. Course Frequency: F, S
Grading Method: Pass/Fail.
Learning Outcomes:
- Students will demonstrate problem solving skills per the evaluation criteria idenitfied in BVU Signature Skill #1.
- Students will demonstrate capacities for integrative learning per the evaluation criteria identified in BVU Signature Skill #2.
- Students will demonstrate capacities for effective communication per the evaluation criteria in BVU Signature Skill #3.
