Human services programs with this increasingly significant population in society are examined along with the range of settings in which these services are offered. Students apply knowledge of human behavior and the social environment as it applies to older adults, respond to contexts that shape practice with older adults; and engage, assess, intervene, and evaluate practice with older adults and their families as well as the groups, organizations, and communities with which they interact.
