ESL 055 - Reading and Writing - Intermediate 6 Credit(s)
In this course, students will further improve their reading comprehension and writing skills. Specifically, students will learn: (1) to use a variety of pre-reading strategies to become more effective readers, to identify main and supporting ideas of a text; (2) to identify pronoun antecedents. In addition, students will conduct basic internet searches and use word-processing software to write, edit, and format written assignments.
Prerequisite(s): Permission of ESOL director.
Course Frequency: AN
Notes: ESL courses do not apply toward graduation. Grading Method: Pass/Fail.
