EDAG 201 - Coordination of Cooperative Agriculture Education Program

Analyzes the duties and responsibilities of the cooperative education coordinator. The focus is on public and human relations. The primary areas of study include developing liaison relationships with Extension and other community partners, organizing participation in community and civic activities for students, and sponsoring FFA programs.

Learning Outcomes:
  1. Identify the responsibilities and expectations of agricultural educators in formal and informal settings.
  2. Identify ways to integrate and/or balance oversight of the three domains of an agricultural education program: instruction, youth leadership development organization oversight, and experiential learning oversight.
  3. Effectively and positively interact with all stakeholders in order to build a high-quality agricultural education program including, but not limited to, students, administrators and supervisors, parents, colleagues, advisory committee members, industry and employers, peers, postsecondary partners, and community supporters.
  4. Engage in professional growth activities and organizations.
  5. Exemplify positive public relations for an agricultural education program.
