EAP 170 - Reading and Academic Vocabulary for International Students I

In this course, students will work with a variety of academic reading materials to develop basic academic reading skills (skimming for main ideas and scanning for specific information) as well as higher-level skills (making inferences and distinguishing between fact and opinion). Students will also learn to deduce the meaning of unfamiliar words from contextual and structural clues.

Prerequisite(s): Permission of ESOL Director.
