DIGI 110 - Co-curricular Lab Online

Digital Media majors are required to participate for at least one semester in each of the three co-curricular media organizations (The Tack, KBVU and BVTV). Students will receive .5 credits for participating in each of the three co-curricular labs, for a total of 1.5 credits. Participants will gain experience with producing material (and thereby building portfolios) across all media platforms. Participation in Co-curricular Lab Online will entail regularly producing media for the online campus news organization, The Tack. Non-majors may also enroll. No previous experience is required.

Grading Method: Pass/Fail.

Write hard and soft stories in a variety of beats such as news, sports, features and enterprise.
Practice ethical and professional standards of journalism.
Interview primary and secondary sources face-to-face.
Collaborate with Tack editor to revise according to AP and Tack style.
