This course is designed to introduce the non-science major to the concepts and basic principles of chemistry by contextually integrating today’s technological issues and the chemical principles imbedded within them.
General Education Course - Liberal Arts Core - Natural Science Course Frequency: AN

Learning Outcomes:
- Understand basic atomic and molecular structure and properties.
- Use chemical equations in relating reactants and products during a chemical reaction.
- Recognize the forces between atoms that allow them to organize into molecules and the forces between molecules that allow them to organize into liquid and solid states of matter.
- Understand how chemistry is involved with everyday life.
