A survey of the chemical aspects of living systems. Topics include the relationship between chemical structures and functions of biological macromolecules; thermodynamics, enzyme catalysis and kinetics; and metabolic pathways and their regulation. Four lecture hours per week.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 261 and BIOL 164 .
